Backend Software Engineer

Join a dynamic team as a Backend Software Engineer and drive the development of responsive web applications using best engineering practices.

Responsibilities
  • Perform hands-on software development, writing code, unit tests, proof of concepts, code reviews, and testing in ongoing sprints.
  • Ongoing refactoring of code and delivering continuous improvement.
  • Develop deep understanding of integrations with other systems and platforms within supported domains.
  • Manage own time and work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, backend, and frontend engineers to implement versatile solutions to tricky web development problems.
Requirements
  • BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent.
  • 3-4 years of work experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience working in Java, demonstrating good Java knowledge.
  • Able to demonstrate good web fundamentals and HTTP protocol knowledge.
  • Good attitude, communication, willingness to learn and collaborate.
  • Experience developing Java applications in an enterprise setting, including experience with Java 11 and above, is a plus.
  • Experience developing Java applications in frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, Dropwizard, is a plus.
  • Recent experience working in JavaScript on Node.js stack, is a plus.
  • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD), Behavior Driven Development (BDD) practices, unit testing, functional testing, system integration testing, regression testing, GUI testing, web service testing, and browser compatibility testing, including frameworks such as Selenium, WebDriverIO, Cucumber, JUnit, Mockito, is a plus.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery environment, is a plus.
  • Agile or SAFe development environment experience, is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, is a plus.
  • Proven experience building scalable web applications using Java, is a plus.
  • Mandatory Skills : Java, Spring Boot, Micro Services, Hibernate.
