At Tata Electronics, we are building India's first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management ICs, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU), and high-performance computing logic.
This semiconductor foundry aims to address the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing, and data storage, wireless communications, and artificial intelligence.
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced professional to lead our R&D efforts as CMOS Integration Director. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and transferring technologies into high-volume manufacturing.
The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating 28-90nm technologies from partner facilities, with a focus on feature additions and performance improvements while achieving reliability, yield, schedule, and cost targets.
The director will also be responsible for ownership of R&D for new nodes and technology variants on existing nodes, design and layout of test chips to aid in device/technology optimization, reliability assessment, and SPICE model extraction.
A key aspect of this role is end-to-end project management from initial project justification to final qualification and yield ramp, with responsibilities for achieving desired performance, quality/yield, schedule, and cost targets.
The selected candidate will build and lead a cross-functional team across diverse geographies, build strong customer relationships based on confidence in TEPL technical capabilities, and present to internal and customer senior executives.
Requirements- M.S or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent
- Strong understanding of device physics, process modules, yield improvement, failure mechanisms, analytical techniques (physical and electrical)
- Proven track record in developing and transferring technologies into high-volume manufacturing
- Deep knowledge of CMOS, SRAM, and eNVM parameters and figures of merit; experience in achieving competitive performance
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and achieve project completion within timeline and cost targets
- Ability to work across different cultures and geographies

An estimated annual salary for this role in India is approximately ₹150 lakhs - ₹200 lakhs, depending on qualifications and experience.
