About the Role

We're looking for a seasoned Fund Accountant to collaborate with senior accountants, CPAs, and partners in managing monthly closes, full-cycle accounting, and ensuring accurate financial reporting using QuickBooks or similar platforms.

This position requires hands-on experience in private equity, private credit, or fund administration.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage monthly closings, full-cycle accounting, and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Record and track interest, fee, and equity income across structured deals, maintaining transparency and accuracy.
  • Prepare management reports and investor-ready financial statements, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support CPAs on tax preparation, filings, and fund administration, ensuring seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Review financials from 1–5 portfolio companies, identifying variances and contributing to informed business decisions.
  • Ensure GAAP-compliant reporting across multiple industries, upholding the highest standards of financial integrity.
  • Standardize reporting templates, assist CFOs/finance leads, and promote efficient communication throughout the organization.
Key Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of direct fund accounting experience, preferably in private equity, private debt, or fund administration.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and multi-entity consolidations, with a deep understanding of financial regulations.
  • Background working with companies in the $10M–$100M revenue range, with expertise in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to manage both fund-level and portfolio-level reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • CPA preferred, but not required, with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks or other accounting platforms, with the ability to adapt to new tools and technologies.
