We are seeking a skilled and experienced Principal Back-end Developer with hands-on experience in Java to join our team.

Job Description:

As a Principal Back-end Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and high-performance back-end systems using Java and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture and design of scalable and reliable back-end systems using Java and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and develop robust solutions.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of back-end systems.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to back-end developers.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve development processes and enhance system performance.
  • Work closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams to design and implement deployment pipelines and monitoring solutions.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in back-end development and recommend adoption as appropriate.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, and years of experience in back-end development with hands-on experience in Java.

Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns, experience with web application frameworks such as Spring Boot, and proficiency in SQL and database design principles are also required.

Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes, familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform, and excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary.

Nice to Have:

Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra, knowledge of message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ, and familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines are desirable.

Contributions to open-source projects or a strong online presence are also considered.
