Job Title:Senior Product Development ManagerAs a key member of the product development team, the Senior Product Development Manager will play a crucial role in driving the creation and optimization of new products and formulations. This includes Solid and Liquid Dosage forms such as Tablets, Capsules, Solutions, Suspensions, Pellets, MUPS etc. for regulated markets like US, Europe and ROW.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project scope, be able to define activities and timelines, and ensure periodic monitoring and timely completion.
  • He/She will lead execution/development of new formulations by investigating API characteristics and viability, safety and compatibility with other ingredients.
  • The successful candidate will identify resource requirements for projects including materials, manpower, machine change parts, and assimilate literature information collected by project teams.
  • Develop R&D plans and experimental designs using QBD principles for all new product development projects and processes.
  • Plan and coordinate execution of lab scale up/optimization and pilot BE batches while adhering to lab GMP system and practices.
  • Review lab experiment notebooks and prepare and review technology transfer documents.
  • Liaise and coordinate with technology transfer team/production team to ensure seamless technology transfer.
  • Program for optimization of existing product performance by investigating API characteristics and finished products.
  • Check stability protocols, monitor stability studies, and evaluate/interpret results to advance product development accordingly.
  • Liaise and communicate with various departments to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Prepare new departmental SOPs, manuals, and guidelines documents as required.
  • Monitor IQ, OQ, and PQ activities of new machines and ensure proper functioning and maintenance of equipment and instruments.
  • Ensure proper training of subordinates, technicians, and housekeeping personnel on various equipment and systems.
  • Ensure proper storage and destruction of raw materials and finished goods and maintain RLD samples inventory.
  • Participate in departmental audits and ensure compliance to recommendations.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in technology, conceptual thinking, presentation, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of product development professionals, providing guidance and mentorship to achieve team goals.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless technology transfer and successful product launches.
