Cision seeks a seasoned Data Management Leader to drive Business Intelligence innovation and strategy across the organization.

About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will develop and execute a data strategy that fosters a data-driven culture, optimizing business performance by identifying growth opportunities and highlighting areas for improvement.

You will proactively communicate with stakeholders, team members, and partners to support a high-performing team responsible for providing sales intelligence and data visualizations through business intelligence tools.

The ideal candidate will be able to deliver results, take ownership of work and outputs, find a way to work through barriers, and work efficiently. We're looking for someone to think analytically about the business, have a critical eye for detail, and have high expectations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and align priorities with the organization's strategic goals, partnering with business leadership to identify data and analytical needs.
  • Lead the sales intelligence strategy combining business analytics and data visualization to make profitable, data-driven decisions.
  • Establish and maintain high data integrity, quality, and governance standards, crafting data management practices to support accurate and reliable data analysis.
  • Develop dashboards providing up-to-date information to sales leaders and sales associates on KPIs and other business objectives and goals.
  • Translate intricate datasets into intuitive and insightful visualizations driving data-based decision-making across the organization.
  • Identify and communicate new requirements to enhance CRM capabilities supporting reporting and analytics.
  • Collaborate with IT in the selection, implementation, and management of BI tools and technologies.
  • Distill insights from data and communicate recommendations to business customers.
  • Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of BI tools and technologies, leading the creation and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and other data visualizations.
  • Mentor and upskill team members including data analysts, system admin, and BI Developers.
  • Participate in the exploration and evaluation of emerging reporting tools, technologies, and methodologies driving innovation and leveraging best practices to advance the organization's BI capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or an MBA can be advantageous.
  • 7-10 years of experience within Data Management or Visualization.
  • 7-10 years of experience in a high-functioning, fast-pacing work environment with strong business acumen.
  • 3-5 years of people leaders with high social intelligence.
  • Proven expertise in executing data management, reporting & visualization in Domo. Secondarily Power BI and Tableau.
  • Experience with Amazon Redshift and DBT desired.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of complex data integration from multiple data sources.
  • Experience with Statistics and probability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to translate complex data into easy-to-understand, practical terms that every person can understand.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
