Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Application Security expert to join our cloud security team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing secure architectures for applications hosted on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement secure cloud-based application architectures

Develop and maintain cloud security policies and procedures

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks

Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies, and adapt security strategies accordingly

Provide training and guidance to development teams on secure coding practices

Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

Mentor junior team members on cloud security best practices

Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of cloud security measures

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field

Minimum 8 years of experience in cloud security, with a focus on application security

In-depth knowledge of cloud security platforms, including AWS, Azure, and GCP

Proven track record of designing and implementing secure cloud-based architectures

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CISM are highly desirable

Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Bash

Familiarity with DevOps tools and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines

Understanding of security frameworks and regulations, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework and GDPR

Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes

Knowledge of web application firewalls (WAFs) and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDPS)

Ability to perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing

Capacity to collaborate with developers to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC)

Awareness of artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) concepts and their applications in security

Understanding of data encryption techniques and protocols

Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders

Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git

Hands-on experience with security automation tools and frameworks

Proficiency in threat modeling and risk assessment methodologies

Knowledge of security information and event management (SIEM) systems

Understanding of incident response and disaster recovery planning

Familiarity with cloud security gateways and virtual private networks (VPNs)

Awareness of regulatory requirements and industry standards for cloud security

Experience with cloud migration and cloud-native application development

Understanding of microservices architecture and service-oriented design
