Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum

Job Description:

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Penetration Tester who has a proven track record of identifying vulnerabilities and providing actionable recommendations to improve the security posture of our clients. As a Cybersecurity Expert - Senior Penetration Tester, you will play a critical role in assessing and testing the security controls of our clients' systems and infrastructure.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Penetration Testing: Perform advanced penetration testing and security assessments on a wide range of environments, including networks, applications, cloud infrastructures, and wireless networks.
  • Vulnerability Assessment: Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments to identify, exploit, and document vulnerabilities across client systems and infrastructure.
  • Purple Teaming: Collaborate with our SoC team to develop and refine detection and response capabilities, sharing insights from offensive testing to improve overall security.
  • Platform Management: Manage and optimize the use of platforms like Horizon3.ai for continuous automated testing, vulnerability detection, and exploitation simulation.
  • Reporting: Create detailed and executive-level reports outlining technical findings, exploitation paths, and remediation recommendations.
  • Tool Development: Create, customize, and optimize penetration testing tools, scripts, and exploits to target specific systems and applications.
  • Threat Modeling: Collaborate with our internal security team to perform threat modeling, identify potential attack vectors, and assess security risks.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our NOC engineers and DevOps teams to ensure proper remediation of identified vulnerabilities and provide secure architecture guidance.
  • Training and Mentorship: Mentor and train junior penetration testers, sharing knowledge on advanced offensive security techniques, tools, and methodologies.
  • Staying Current: Keep up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and techniques by attending conferences, participating in Capture The Flag (CTF) events, and researching emerging trends.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Assist clients in meeting regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO 27001) and industry best practices by providing security testing and validation.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5-10 years of professional experience in penetration testing, offensive security, and security tool management.
  • Certification: Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) is required. Other relevant certifications (e.g., OSCE, OSEE, GPEN, CEH) are a plus.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of network protocols, web application architectures, operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Exploitation: Demonstrated ability to find and exploit vulnerabilities, including zero-day vulnerabilities, and proficiency with common exploitation frameworks (e.g., Metasploit, Cobalt Strike).
  • Platform Management: Experience managing and operating automated security testing platforms like Horizon3.ai or similar solutions for continuous testing.
  • Programming/Scripting: Proficiency in scripting and automation languages in Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.
  • Tools: Expertise in using penetration testing tools, such as Burp Suite, Nmap, Wireshark, Nessus, and custom scripts.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex security problems creatively and effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail in identifying vulnerabilities and documenting test results.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with cloud security testing (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices and application security frameworks (OWASP, SANS).
  • Active participation in CTFs, bug bounty programs, or public vulnerability disclosures.
  • Masters degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field (preferred but not required).
