Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Books category as a Senior Category Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving growth, improving customer experience, and increasing online penetration for readers and learners.

  • Growth Initiatives:
    • Strategic planning for the category, including initiatives such as Used Books, Global Books Selection scale up in India, and Monetization avenues;
    • Managing the category topline and inputs directly, influencing programs to build a solid trajectory for Books P&L via core inputs, large brand management, customer delighters, conversion, and ASP driving business;
    • Influencing external (Seller) and internal (Acc Mgt, Pricing, Selection, Product, and Marketing) teams to drive business growth.

This role offers an opportunity to work on Specialized areas across Media categories and require strong collaboration with leaders across teams and drive execution with rigor.

Requirements

The successful candidate must be a passionate customer and category advocate within Amazon, with proven execution skills, stakeholder management, attention to detail, and ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task.

The ideal candidate will be an effective leader and communicator to work with many internal cross-functional teams. A self-starter with good customer and business understanding is required to demonstrate a high level of ownership, bias for action, and customer obsession.
