Medical Writer Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled professional to support patients with complex medical needs. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills and be able to communicate effectively.
About the Role- The successful candidate will work on multiple healthcare initiatives to enhance patient engagement, access to care, and coordination with treatment centers.
- The role requires frequent field visits to government hospitals and patient homes to provide emotional counseling and support for treatment adherence.
- Support TB and Rheumatology patients with treatment adherence, follow-up, and emotional counseling.
- Assist patients in accessing financial aid programs at state and national levels.
- Help patients and caregivers with documentation and navigating official processes for availing treatment support.
- Develop and maintain a database of patient assistance schemes and health entitlements.
- Regularly track and follow up with patients to ensure continuity of care and linkage to appropriate support programs.
- Coordinate with hospital social work departments and NGOs to address patient needs.
- Establish a network of local donors to support patients financially or through in-kind donations.
- Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to regular reporting and documentation.
- Master's degree in Social Work, Public Health, or a related field
- Graduates from institutions like TISS, PHFI, or similar are encouraged to apply
- 2–4 years of experience in healthcare-related social work or public health programs
