Embedded Firmware Architect Role

This senior-level position involves overseeing the development and optimization of boot firmware for ARM Cortex-M/R/A platforms.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Create, refine, and architect bootloader and BootROM firmware for various hardware configurations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications.
  • Lead secure boot mechanism development, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, FIPS, and NIST.
  • Implement Secure Boot, TrustZone configurations, fusing, and secure key management for trusted hardware root-of-trust solutions.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot hardware/firmware boot issues using specialized tools like JTAG, Lauterbach, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.

Required Expertise:

  • Extensive experience in embedded firmware/bootloader development with a strong focus on ARMv8 architectures.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages for embedded systems, including low-level debugging skills.
  • Familiarity with BootROM, Secure Boot, Measured Boot, PSA Attestation APIs, and Trusted Firmware-A/M (TF-A/TF-M).
  • Thorough understanding of hardware specifications, silicon bring-up, MMU/MPU configuration, and secure execution environments.
