Mainframe Automation Expertise Required

We are seeking an experienced professional to excel in mainframe automation.

This role requires a strong background in automating mainframe operations, monitoring, and batch processes. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of automation tools such as CA OPS/MVS, REXX, IBM System Automation, Control-M, JCL, and CLIST.

  • Design, implement, and maintain automation scripts and jobs on mainframe environments.
  • Troubleshoot automation-related issues and provide root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, and application teams to integrate automation solutions.
  • Develop best practices and reusable automation frameworks for mainframe operations.
  • Monitor system performance and implement proactive automation to reduce manual interventions.

The successful candidate will have 8-10 years of hands-on experience in mainframe operations and automation, strong programming/scripting skills in REXX, JCL, and CLIST, and experience with automation tools such as CA OPS/MVS, IBM System Automation, or equivalent. Additionally, they should have good understanding of mainframe systems: z/OS, DB2, CICS, IMS, MQ, and knowledge of scheduling tools like Control-M, CA7, or Tivoli.
