Role

Credit Risk Analyst/Underwriter, Team Lead

This role involves:

  • Leading a Credit Analyst team that underwrites deals for the US market.
  • Working closely with a Credit Committee to ensure seamless functioning of the credit function.
  • Ensuring quality of credit analysis, training and mentoring the team to ensure adherence to underwriting quality metrics.
  • Overseeing daily underwriting pipeline and queues to ensure timely movement, balanced workloads, and efficient resource allocation.
  • Serving as the first point of contact for escalated or complex underwriting scenarios, providing guidance and resolving issues to support smooth loan flow.
  • Supporting and mentoring underwriters by providing day-to-day guidance, fostering development, and monitoring team performance.
  • Ensuring underwriting decisions meet agency, investor, and company guidelines while supporting risk management and quality control initiatives.
  • Ideating and executing process enhancements in the credit function to help improve quality of analysis, and turnaround times.
  • Interacting with clients and other stakeholders to gather feedback and mentor the team accordingly.
