CFT Incharge Job Description

The role of a CFT Incharge is critical in ensuring the safety and security of airports. This individual will oversee the Aerodrome Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) services, requiring extensive experience in the airports industry.

  • Lead and manage the Crash Fire Tender (CFT) team to ensure emergency response readiness
  • Develop and review ARFF operational procedures and protocols for aviation safety standards
  • Conduct regular training and drills to maintain peak performance and readiness
  • Coordinate with airport authorities and emergency services for seamless emergency response
  • Oversee ARFF vehicle, equipment, and firefighting system maintenance and readiness
  • Analyze incident reports to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards for ARFF services
  • Participate in airport emergency exercises and provide expert guidance during simulated emergencies
  • Conduct inspections and audits to uphold fire safety and emergency preparedness standards
  • Provide leadership during actual emergency incidents to protect lives and property

Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Science, Aviation Management, or related field
  • Advanced certifications in Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF)

Certification required:

  • Valid ARFF certification from a recognized aviation authority
  • Valid certification in Fire Safety and Prevention

Experience and Skills:

  • 10-15 years of experience in the airports industry
  • Demonstrated experience in Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) services
