Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the go-to expert for monitoring and optimizing cloud infrastructure costs across various platforms.
- Track daily/weekly usage, spending patterns, and billing reports, highlighting anomalies and areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain scripts/automation for cost reporting, resource clean-up, and efficiency enhancements.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to optimize compute, storage, and database resources, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Identify and implement strategies to reduce spend, including reserved instances, savings plans, auto-scaling policies, and storage lifecycle policies.
- Leverage native tools like AWS Cost Explorer, CloudWatch, and third-party monitoring platforms to monitor infrastructure reliability while balancing costs.
Requirements:
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud services (EC2, S3, IAM, etc.).
- Experience in cloud cost monitoring & optimization.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (Python, Bash, Shell, etc.).
- Understanding of SRE concepts: reliability, scalability, monitoring, and automation.
- Prior experience in cost analysis and optimization for enterprise workloads.
