Subject Expert

About the Position

This is a managerial and support role responsible for developing and managing high-quality questions banks, overseeing Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and collaborating with other subject experts as per project requirements.

Years of Experience: 10 to 20 years

Responsibilities:

  • Developing quality questions banks for assessments
  • Question Bank Management:
  • Structuring and designing question banks; setting quality standards for writing and review in respective domains
  • Tracking inventory and maintaining optimum levels of item availability in assigned non-STEM domains/subjects
  • SME Management:
  • Defining selection criteria and strategy
  • Monitoring SME performance quality
  • Training and developing SME pools in different domains/subjects
  • Extensive coordination with SMEs for all test development activities
  • Test Designing: Creating test designs in subjects of expertise and coordinating with SMEs to finalize test designs in other domains/subjects
  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders to fulfill requirements for test items and question sets
  • Supporting Lead Subject Expert in delivering projects and other requirements as per organizational needs
  • Post-exam analysis, reporting to higher management

Qualifications

  • Subject competency in school subjects up to 12th level as per NCERT syllabus
  • Broad understanding of education systems of the country and NCERT/CBSE/boards
  • Experience in the education sector related to assessment and evaluation - test designs/blueprints, question development
  • Good command over English both written and spoken
  • Good command over spoken Hindi
