Job Summary:

We're seeking a skilled Software Engineer to develop and maintain our web application's back-end, focusing on high-quality and scalable backend services and APIs using Python and relevant frameworks.

About You:

  • You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • You have proven experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role with strong proficiency in Python and experience with relevant frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django)
  • You possess knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes
  • You have experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and familiarity with services such as Postgres, EC2, and VPC
  • You're well-versed in API design principles and experienced in building RESTful APIs
  • You're familiar with database systems, both SQL and NoSQL

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design robust backend architectures
  • Develop high-quality and scalable backend services and APIs using Python and relevant frameworks
  • Optimize backend code for performance, scalability, and security
  • Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable operation of backend systems
  • Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to deploy and maintain backend services on cloud platforms
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in backend development and carbon offset technologies
  • Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing within the team

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
