Senior Engineer

Our company is based in Cambridge, MA (USA), with R&D and manufacturing sites in Bangalore (India), Rochester (MN, USA) and Toronto (Canada). We were established as a spin-off from Nference. inc. Our vision is to bring fully autonomous systems to pathology labs and enable them to achieve AI-enabled workflows for serving patients. The key responsibilities of this role include determining operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions. The candidate will also be responsible for documenting and demonstrating solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code. This position involves preparing and installing solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming. Additionally, the successful candidate will improve operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures. They will obtain and license software by obtaining required information from vendors; recommending purchases; testing and approving products. Furthermore, the role includes updating job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment. The ideal candidate will participate in educational opportunities & read professional publications; protect operations by keeping information confidential. Also, they will provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues. Ultimately, they will accomplish engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed. Additionally, the role involves developing software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.

Skill sets:

  • Hands-on experience in software development using Python and C++
  • Experience designing interactive applications
  • Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL
  • Experience with test-driven development
  • Proficiency in software engineering tools
  • Ability to document requirements and specifications

Experience & Pedigree:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent
