Financial Operations Specialist

The Financial Operations Specialist is a critical role responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

This position requires strong analytical skills, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to support audits and management reporting while guaranteeing timely closure of accounts and adherence to statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounting & Bookkeeping
    • Enter journal entries and ensure monthly closure of accounts.
  • Invoicing & Payments
    • Prepare and issue invoices; follow up on collections.
    • Process vendor payments and manage payables according to agreed terms.
  • Reconciliations
    • Perform ledger reconciliations (banks, accounts receivable, accounts payable).
    • Conduct monthly GSTR-2B reconciliation and coordinate with vendors for pending filings.
    • Perform quarterly reconciliation of Form 26AS.
  • Statutory Compliance
    • Ensure timely payment and filing of statutory dues (GST, TDS, PF, ESI, PT, etc.).
  • MIS Reporting
    • Prepare and present monthly MIS reports to management.
  • Audit Support
    • Coordinate with external auditors, resolve queries, and provide required documentation.
  • Regulatory Knowledge
    • Maintain a strong understanding of provisions of the Income Tax Act and Companies Act applicable to companies.
  • Software Proficiency
    • Work effectively on Tally, QuickBooks, and Zoho Books.
  • Other Duties
    • Handle additional tasks and responsibilities assigned by management.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian taxation, statutory compliances, and accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in Tally, QuickBooks, and Zoho Books.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
