Assistant Art Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Assistant Art Director to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of visual identity and the ability to create engaging designs across various platforms. They will be responsible for leading design efforts, developing visual languages, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement visual identities for all properties
  • Lead design efforts across web, social, editorial, motion, events, and spatial
  • Harness creative AI tools for concepting, style-frames, motion pre-viz, and rapid prototyping
  • Elevate video and motion by partnering with the video team to craft cinematic title cards, lower thirds, and data-driven infographics
  • Systemize excellence by creating scalable design systems, asset libraries, and AI prompts that speed up quality
  • Mentor and multiply by coaching graphic designers, motion artists, and freelancers
  • Collaborate at altitude by working with Editorial, Marketing, Events, and Product teams

Requirements:

  • 6–10 years leading multi-disciplinary design teams in media, digital publishing, or agency environments
  • Expertise in Adobe CC (Ps, Ai, Id, Ae), Figma, and bonus points for Blender/C4D, Unreal, or 3-D prototyping apps
  • Proven use of Gen-AI image/video tools for ideation or production; ability to write, refine, and share effective prompt libraries
  • Visual Mastery: Expert eye for typography, color, layout, motion, data-viz & brand systems
  • Storytelling & Strategy: Ability to see the narrative thread behind every pixel and sell the concept in the boardroom
  • Soft-Power Traits: Tastemaker, Strategic thinker, Detail-obsessive, Feedback-giver, Boundary-pusher, Builder of legacy
