Backend Engineering Team Lead

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced backend engineer to lead our development team and drive the design of scalable and secure systems.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in TypeScript/Node.js, API design, and fintech or payments experience. They will be responsible for leading technical discussions, owning architecture for integrations and scaling, and mentoring junior engineers.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building solid, reliable infrastructure on top of fragmented provider APIs across markets.

We are looking for someone with 6+ years of backend engineering experience who can bring their expertise to our team.

Responsibilities
  • Lead backend development of web and mobile applications
  • Design and scale backend systems powering payments and settlements
  • Build solid, reliable infra on top of fragmented provider APIs across markets
  • Lead technical discussions and own architecture for integrations and scaling
  • Mentor and manage a small engineering team across infra + app layers
Requirements
  • 6+ years of backend engineering experience
  • Strong in TypeScript/Node.js, and API design
  • Background in fintech or payments strongly preferred
  • Experience building integrations with external APIs/partners across geographies
