Job Description

The primary function of the HVAC Technician is to ensure the efficient operation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

  • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioners, chillers, furnaces, air handlers, and ventilation units.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks to guarantee optimal performance of HVAC equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems and provide effective solutions.
  • Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and manufacturer specifications to troubleshoot issues.
  • Adjust system controls to improve performance and optimize energy efficiency.
  • Test and balance air and hydronic systems to meet performance standards.
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records, documenting all work performed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.
  • Respond promptly to emergency service calls.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role is required.
  • A strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical components, and refrigeration cycles is essential.
  • The ability to use HVAC tools, gauges, and diagnostic equipment is necessary.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and occupational health regulations is mandatory.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are required.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities are necessary for success.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and withstand varying weather conditions is required.
Education and Certification
  • Diploma/ITI/Technical certification in HVAC, Mechanical, or related field is preferred.
