**Job Purpose:** We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to serve as our Resident Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and administration of our student residence, ensuring a safe, secure, and student-friendly environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Residence Administration:
    • Oversee day-to-day operations, including accommodation, maintenance, housekeeping, and catering.
    • Allot rooms and maintain updated records of occupancy.
    • Monitor infrastructure and report maintenance issues promptly.
    • Ensure hygienic conditions and proper functioning of facilities.
  • Student Welfare & Discipline:
    • Maintain discipline, order, and decorum among residents.
    • Address grievances and counseling needs of students.
    • Ensure safety, security, and well-being of students on campus.
    • Enforce rules, regulations, and code of conduct.
  • Coordination & Supervision:
    • Supervise support staff including resident assistants, housekeeping, and security personnel.
    • Coordinate with mess staff for quality food service and timely meals.
    • Liaise with university administration on residence-related matters.
    • Organize community-building events and activities.
  • Safety & Security:
    • Ensure proper security arrangements on campus.
    • Maintain records of visitors and restrict unauthorized entry.
    • Take prompt action during emergencies (medical, safety, or disciplinary).
    • Ensure compliance with fire safety and health regulations.

Eligibility & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in a related field (preferably in Management, Social Sciences, Education).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Residence Manager / Administrator (experience in an educational institution preferred).
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle emergencies with calmness and responsibility.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and record-keeping.
