Unified Voice and Firewall Engineer Role

AMSYS IT Services is seeking a highly skilled Unified Voice and Firewall Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure communication systems and ensuring the reliability of enterprise voice collaboration systems.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Voice/UC engineering and Firewall administration, with a strong understanding of CUCM, Webex, SIP trunks, and voice integration. Additionally, expertise in Cisco ASA/FTD, Fortinet FortiGate, and Palo Alto is required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement secure communication systems.
  • Administer and support Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Webex Calling, and Webex Contact Center.
  • Manage voice recording platforms and oversee certificate lifecycle management.
  • Configure and administer firewalls and monitor performance using LogicMonitor, WhatsUp Gold, SolarWinds, or similar tools.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of combined experience in Voice/UC engineering and Firewall administration.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of CUCM, Webex, SIP trunks, and voice integration.
  • Expertise in Cisco ASA/FTD and Fortinet FortiGate (Palo Alto is a plus).
  • Experience managing certificates, PKI, and secure communications.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like WhatsUp Gold, LogicMonitor, or SolarWinds.
  • Relevant certifications (CCNP Collaboration, CCNP Security, Fortinet NSE, PCNSE) are highly preferred.
