Steel Detailer Job Description

Blanco Steel Detailing is seeking a skilled Steel Detailer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed drawings and models for Tekla Structure steel structures with accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to provide precise and comprehensive documentation for fabrication and construction purposes.
  • Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to ensure accurate and detailed documentation.
  • Develop and maintain strong knowledge of steel detailing principles and practices, including AISC codes and guidelines.
  • Utilize Tekla software and 3D modeling skills to create high-quality drawings and models.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Tekla software and experience with 3D modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of steel detailing principles and practices.
  • Understanding of industry standards, including AISC codes and guidelines.
  • Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in creating drawings and models.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in the construction or steel fabrication industry is preferred.
  • Degree or certification in engineering, architecture, or a related field is a plus.
