Lead FPGA Engineer Job DescriptionJob Title:Senior Digital Design Expert

We are seeking an experienced Senior Digital Design Expert to lead our FPGA design team in delivering complex digital solutions.

Responsibilities:
  1. Leads the execution of multiple FPGA design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  2. Develops and implements innovative FPGA designs that meet or exceed system requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed.
  3. Defines and implements FPGA interfaces with other circuitry, working closely with hardware design engineers to ensure seamless integration.
  4. Conducts FPGA programming, synthesis, simulation, timing analysis, and optimization, utilizing expertise in Verilog and VHDL languages.
  5. Validates systems alongside hardware and firmware design engineers to confirm functionality, reliability, efficiency, compatibility, and responsiveness.
  6. Works on FPGA-based solutions for interfacing real-time microprocessor systems to high-speed networks and I/O, driving innovation and cost savings.
  7. Drives design rigor and participates in relevant formal design reviews to ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  8. Contributes to board-level reliability analysis and system FMEA, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  9. Identifies opportunities to modify author designs (DPS) and cost-out opportunities, making technical proposals to drive business growth.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electronics, Communication, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 8-10 years of experience in FPGA design, digital circuit design, system-level analysis, product development life cycle, including system and sub-system design.
  • Proven analytical and organizational ability, with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with effective problem identification and solution skills.
Desired Characteristics:
  • Hands-on experience in Verilog, VHDL, FPGA development tools, including design, synthesis, simulation, timing analysis, optimization, packaging, and debug.
  • Expertise in signal integrity and simulations, with knowledge about different communication techniques.
  • Hands-on experience in developing interfaces between FPGA and other devices like microprocessors, ADCs, transceivers, and so on.
  • Strong experience in high-speed digital designs, with proficiency in ECAD suite of tools, either from Mentor Graphics or Cadence.
  • Good understanding of EMI/EMC concepts related to high-speed designs and debug issues, with experience working with industry protocols like MODBUS, FF CAN, Ethernet.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, with experience in Agile methodology.
