Cloud Infrastructure Specialist Job Description

Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure SpecialistOverview

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure solutions. Your expertise in OpenStack administration will ensure the reliability and performance of our cloud environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, and manage OpenStack environments using Kolla-Ansible and TripleO.
  • Create and maintain Ceph storage clusters, guaranteeing high availability and optimal performance.
  • Manage block storage (Cinder), file storage (Manila), and object storage (such as Ceph RGW/S3, Swift).
  • Optimize OpenStack control plane and compute resources for peak performance and scalability.
  • Manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or OpenShift.
  • Develop automation scripts and playbooks using Ansible for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
  • Integrate OpenStack environments with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-native solutions.
  • Participate in CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure changes and application deployments.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in OpenStack administration, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Expertise in Ceph storage cluster management and optimization.
  • Familiarity with containerized applications, Docker, and orchestration platforms.
  • Proficiency in Ansible for automation scripting and playbook development.
  • Understanding of cloud-native technologies and their applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
