Endpoint Security Specialist Job Description

The team's mission is to help organisations prevent cyberattacks and protect valuable assets. Embed cyber risk at the start of strategy development for more effective management of information and technology risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-call support for critical issues during 08:00-18:00 general shift hours.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) platforms.
  • Create and deploy EDR agent packages using centralized solutions such as SCCM.
  • Develop and enforce security policies and procedures for endpoint protection.
  • Ensure endpoints are up to date with the latest security patches and software updates.
  • Configure EDR policies to align with organisational security requirements.
  • Customise detection rules to enhance threat detection capabilities.
  • Provide regular updates to management on the status of endpoint security.
  • Conduct training sessions for employees on best practices for endpoint security.
  • Raise awareness about emerging threats and how to avoid them.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in endpoint security.
  • Evaluate and recommend new EDR tools and technologies.
  • Participate in threat intelligence sharing to enhance the organisation's security posture.
  • Work closely with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of EDR solutions with existing infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot any agent-related issues along with IT team members.
  • Collaborate with the Security Operations Center (SOC) and other security teams to improve overall threat detection and response capabilities.
  • Support internal and external audits and provide necessary logs/reports within the agreed timeline.
  • Closed identified vulnerabilities within the defined timeline.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers to manage and optimise EDR solutions.
  • Create Agent installation SOPs for various operating systems, which can be followed by IT team members for manual installation of agents.
  • Maintain a knowledge base capturing known issues and their solutions.
