Job Title: Cloud Platform Strategist

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned API management expert to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of our API Management Platform using Google Apigee. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of API strategy, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies, with proven expertise in delivering scalable and secure API solutions.

This position requires an individual who can collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design scalable API solutions, develop API proxies, shared flows, policies, and integrations using Apigee Edge, integrate Apigee with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, LDAP, IAM, and Analytics tools, establish and enforce security policies including rate limiting, quotas, API key validation, JWT, and mutual TLS, design CI/CD pipelines and automation for API lifecycle management, monitor and troubleshoot performance, availability, and security issues in the API ecosystem, and mentor developers and guide teams on best practices in API management and integration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of API Management solutions using Google Apigee Edge/X.
  • Define API strategy, governance, and best practices for internal and external APIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design scalable API solutions.
  • Develop API proxies, shared flows, policies, and integrations using Apigee Edge.
  • Integrate Apigee with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, LDAP, IAM, and Analytics tools.
  • Establish and enforce security policies including rate limiting, quotas, API key validation, JWT, and mutual TLS.
  • Design CI/CD pipelines and automation for API lifecycle management.
  • Mentor developers and guide teams on best practices in API management and integration.
