Cell Culture Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cell Culture Specialist to support our upstream process development, scale-up, and characterization efforts for monoclonal antibody manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Skill Development: Support the development of skills in upstream process development, process scale-up, and process characterization, ensuring team members possess the necessary expertise to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Process Establishment: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and establish scalable and robust processes that meet desired product yield and quality standards, leveraging scientific knowledge and technical expertise to achieve excellence.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop effective mitigation strategies during process development and scale-up, ensuring the highest levels of product quality and safety.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D and other departments to facilitate technical discussions, coordinate technology transfer activities, and drive process improvement initiatives.
  • Technology Transfer: Participate in technology transfer activities, providing technical expertise and supporting regulatory dossier filing and audits, ensuring seamless integration and compliance.
  • Scientific Awareness: Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in science and technology, bioprocessing, and statistical analysis, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improve process efficiency.
  • Data Analysis: Conduct thorough data analysis to assess upstream data and inform technical decisions, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
  • Documentation: Record and review raw data according to GDP principles, prepare work presentations, and write technical documents, maintaining high-quality records and communication.
  • Laboratory Coordination: Coordinate laboratory activities within and across teams, ensuring smooth operations and optimal resource allocation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Omics Technologies: Metabolomics, metabolic flux analysis.
  2. Bioprocess Modeling: Metabolic modeling, process modeling, digital twin for bioreactor or cells.
  3. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD): To better understand and simulate bioreactor mixing.

Educational Requirements: Recent PhD graduates will be considered for this role, bringing fresh perspectives and cutting-edge knowledge to our team.
