Kafka Infrastructure Specialist

The role of Kafka Infrastructure Specialist is to ensure the smooth operation of our distributed messaging system. This involves designing, developing, and executing tests to guarantee that our Kafka systems meet the required standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a strong understanding of Kafka concepts, including topics, partitions, consumers, producers, and security.
  • Implement testing for Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, and other Kafka ecosystem components.
  • Utilize API Testing Experience to validate Kafka integrations.
  • Apply X-RAY and Test Automation techniques to enhance test efficiency.
  • Leverage expertise with Postman/SOAP to streamline data exchange.
  • Employ Agile/JIRA/Confluence methodologies to facilitate collaboration.
  • Familiarize yourself with various data formats such as XML, JSON, CSV, Avro, etc.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in SQL, Mongo databases.
  • Ensure continuous integration and automated testing processes are implemented.
  • Work closely with the development team to identify and troubleshoot issues, providing feedback to improve overall quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Troubleshoot Kafka related issues, demonstrating expertise in Kafka client configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Git version control.
