About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team focused on shaping the future of Factory Design solutions in Autodesk Fusion. As a key member of our software development team, you will play a critical role in leading the design, implementation, testing and maintenance of applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test and maintain cloud-connected desktop applications
- Produce clean, secure, maintainable and well-documented code
- Embrace event-driven architecture principles and apply them to software design
- Collaborate with teams to agree on project goals and timelines
- Utilize debugging techniques to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Use cloud technologies, including AWS services such as S3 and RDS, for scalable and reliable solutions
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and ensure the team's adherence to Agile principles
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high-quality deliverables
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field
- 5-8 years of experience in software development with proficiency in cloud-connected desktop applications
- Understanding of object-oriented programming principles, data structures and algorithms
- Proficiency in C++, Python or .NET
- Experience with database technologies
- Experience with build and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
- Experience with cloud platforms, AWS services such as S3 and RDS
- Understanding of event-driven architecture principles
- Proficiency in quickly learning new programming languages and frameworks
- Experience creating detailed technical documentation
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in a Scrum framework
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing add-ins, plugins, content libraries (Autodesk preferred)
- Experience making architectural trade-offs required to find software solutions
- Experience as a Scrum Master
- Familiarity with CAD concepts and Discrete Event Simulation
- Familiarity with Inventor, AutoCAD, Factory Design Utilities, FlexSim
What We Offer
Autodesk offers a competitive salary range of $150,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on experience and location. In addition to base salary, we also offer a significant emphasis on discretionary annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock or long-term incentive cash grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
