Role Overview

Alignity Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Springboot Developer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing custom software and database applications using Java Springboot and GCP.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a team of engineers to develop elegant and high-performance code.
  • Adhere to quality practices including unit testing and code reviews.
  • Optimize applications for non-functional requirements.
  • Participate in the build and deployment of components as part of the CI/CD process.
  • Take responsibility for end-to-end application delivery including coordination with required teams for production deployment.
  • Continuously monitor application health and key performance indicators (KPIs) and support the triage of any production issues as needed.
  • Work on troubleshooting complex data features services and platform issues and perform root cause analysis to proactively resolve product and operational problems.
  • Advocate for and uphold security best practices within the engineering team championing the importance of security in all aspects of development.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of professional experience.
  • Proficient in developing microservices and cloud-native applications using Java/J2EE REST APIs Spring Core Spring MVC Framework Spring Boot Framework JPA (Java Persistence API) or any other ORM Spring Security and similar tech stacks (both open source and proprietary).
  • Experienced with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit Mockito and JBehave.
  • Skilled in building and deploying services using tools like Gradle Maven Jenkins etc. as part of the CI/CD process.
  • Hand-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is essential for offshore roles. For onshore roles GCP knowledge is preferred but proficiency in any cloud platform is mandatory.
  • Knowledgeable in working with relational databases like Oracle PostgreSQL etc.
  • Soft skills include excellent communication skills particularly in design-related discussions and ability to build and maintain strong relationships and foster a collaborative environment.
