Expert Data Center Mechanical Designer

Develop innovative cooling solutions for hyperscale data centers.

About the Role
  • Cooling System Design Leadership: Optimize cooling infrastructure for data centers to maintain desired temperature and humidity levels, ensuring efficient performance, system reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Design and specify cooling equipment, components, and materials, considering energy efficiency, scalability, and system integration.
  • Awareness of Industry Standards: ASHRAE, ISHRAE, Carrier Handbooks, IS Standards, Eurovent, AHRI, SMACNA, ASME etc.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Thermal Load Analysis: Perform detailed thermal load analysis to assess heat generation and distribution within the data center, recommending cooling strategies that meet capacity and redundancy requirements.
  2. Analyse and optimize airflow, chiller plant designs, and cooling tower systems to ensure that cooling systems are as energy efficient as possible.
  3. Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, architects, mechanical engineers, and contractors, to integrate cooling solutions with other building and data center systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications in HVAC design, sustainability (e.g., LEED, ASHRAE, etc.).
  • Experience in integrating free cooling and waste heat recovery systems.
  • Knowledge of smart building technologies and IoT systems for optimizing cooling performance.
