About the Role

The Mergers and Acquisitions Manager will execute the M&A strategy in alignment with corporate goals and industry trends through successful sourcing, execution, and integration of acquisitions/partnerships/JVs etc. The role holder will periodically track and analyze the competitive landscape, identifying potential acquisition targets, competitive M&A activity, and analysis of benchmarks.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential acquisition targets and strategic partnerships.
  • Support and coordinate due diligence efforts, including assisting business teams and external advisors to evaluate the financial, operational, legal, and regulatory aspects of target companies.
  • Develop and analyze financial statements, build valuation models, and prepare business cases of potential acquisition targets using various methodologies and financial analysis techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop integration plans for successfully merging acquired companies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of acquired companies post-merger, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Benchmark and track deal activity in areas of Agrochemical & pharma.
  • Conduct research and analysis of the industry to formulate views on various sub-segments and come up with solutions to grow the business.
Required Skills and Experience
  • 2+ years of similar experience in a large corporate or investment bank.
  • Candidates with strategy or consulting backgrounds can also apply.
  • Candidates with experience in Consulting, Private Equity Funds, Financial Institutions, Manufacturing, Healthcare/Sciences, or Chemical sectors are preferred.
  • Financial acumen, including financial analysis and business analysis.
  • Acquainted with valuation methods such as DCF, Relative valuation, etc.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.

Educational Qualifications: CA, MBA - Finance.
