System Architectural Lead

Job Description:

You will work closely with peers and team members in the security domain presales engineering. You will be responsible for critical activities to deliver best-in-class solutions with your technical expertise.

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze project inputs and specifications, capturing project scope and understanding requirements.
2. Examine MEP drawings and specifications to identify necessary HVAC equipment, dampers, and sensors.
3. Participate in project kick-off and review meetings, documenting technical queries, compliance deviations, risk logs, and meeting minutes.
4. Adhere to standard estimation processes and guidelines to select optimal combinations of hardware, software, equipment, materials, and services for an accurate budget proposal.
5. Create detailed bills of material, including the selection of sensors, control valves, dampers, airflow stations, and controllers.
6. Develop BAS network architecture, ensuring it meets project specifications.
7. Maintain quality assurance process to deliver defect-free outcomes and ensure timely project completions.
8. Ensure compliance in timesheet submissions and reviews for personal accountability and transparency.
9. Ensure quality assurance, defect-free deliverables, on-time deliveries, and customer satisfaction.
10. Elevate issues promptly to avoid impacting project delivery schedules; clearly document escalations related to scope-creep with evidence.
11. Identify and mitigate project risks and issues early in the project lifecycle.
12. Monitor errors and take corrective action or preventive measures to meet quality standards.
13. Properly plan resources for each project.
14. Monitor and control agreed work scope against the project plan. Manage changes to baselines through a suitable change management process.
15. Support team members as needed on technical aspects, vendors, and subcontractor follow-ups.
16. Assist the team in generating multiple solutions with technical and commercial differentiations.
17. Explore strategies to secure projects and improve win rates through market intelligence.
18. Track team performance and ensure all KPIs (Utilization, OTD, Quality, Kaizen Counts, etc.) are met.
19. Regularly focus on the teams competency development to meet customers technological requirements.
20. Enforce Time Tracker discipline and ISO processes adherence.
21. Provide weekly/monthly customer reporting for project progress.
22. Approve Concur Expense submissions of team members.
23. Monitor and update SFDC cases promptly, keeping handy customized reports to prevent any oversights.
24. Maintain operational parameters at the desired level for all assigned projects.
25. Promote innovation and continuous improvement to foster a high-performance culture in the team.
26. Encourage active participation in employee engagement initiatives.

Requirements:

• BE/ME (Electrical / Electronics / Electronics & Communication)
• Must have 15+ years of relevant experience in BMS domain.
• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Electronics & Communication Engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, including Chilled Water Systems, Cooling Towers, Primary & Secondary Pumping Systems, Hot Water Systems, and various types of Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), and Variable Air Volume (VAV) systems.
• Strong understanding of BMS architecture, including different types of Operator Workstations, Supervisory Controllers, Direct Digital Controllers (DDC), Sensors, and Actuators.
• Familiarity with various network protocols such as BACnet, LON, Modbus, OPC, and other relevant communication standards.
• Proficiency in wiring configurations for starters, field devices, safety interlocks, and control panels.
• Experience in engineering, installing, and commissioning HVAC & BMS systems for large-scale infrastructure projects such as pharmaceuticals, airports, commercial buildings, and hospitals.
• Proven experience in automation, including PLC programming and SCADA systems.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical concepts effectively.
• Leadership qualities that inspire and guide team members toward achieving project goals.
• Ability to demonstrate good leadership skills.
