Job Title: Lead Data Science Architect

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Lead Data Science Architect to join our team at SAP. As a Lead Data Science Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient data solutions that drive business value.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data solutions that meet business needs

Identify and translate customer problems into feasible technical solutions

Conceptualize, design, and deliver high-quality data solutions and insightful analysis

Work on gathering data and requirements, solution scoping and architecture, research and prototyping innovative models

Build solutions by exploring data, building and validating models, and deploying them to deliver maximum business impact

Handle end-to-end project/product techno-functional solutions independently and provide guidance to other team members

Be up-to-date with the latest best practices in delivering enterprise-grade data science solutions

Build credibility and trust with customers and project teams during project execution

Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change

Collaborate with product owners, architects, fellow developers, quality, and user assistance specialists on design, architecture, hands-on coding, testing, etc. to deliver best solutions to our customers

Embrace lean and agile software development principles

Analyze the impact of any new requirements on the existing solution

Requirements

Solid understanding of mathematics related to data science - probability, statistics, linear algebra, etc.

Extensive knowledge of various machine learning algorithms and concepts used to build predictive models

In-depth knowledge of data science domains, including text analysis and natural language processing, neural networks and deep learning, signal processing, image/video processing and recognition, and reinforcement learning

Hands-on experience with computational packages (Numpy, Scipy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, StatsModels, Keras, Tensorflow, etc.)

Highly proficient in SQL and good knowledge of relational databases

Prior experience in deploying machine learning models into production

Exposure to SAP Cloud ERP and Hyperscale
