Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Application Support Specialist with strong knowledge of Progress OpenEdge (ABL/4GL). The role involves providing production support, issue resolution, monitoring, and minor enhancements for business-critical applications.

This individual will be responsible for providing L2/L3 support for applications built on Progress OpenEdge. They will monitor application performance, ensure system availability, analyze and resolve incidents, service requests, and problem tickets within SLAs. Additionally, they will perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes to recurring issues.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Progress OpenEdge (ABL/4GL) in a support environment. They should have a good understanding of Progress Database concepts and performance troubleshooting. Experience in incident management, problem management, and change management is also required. Familiarity with UNIX/Linux commands and scripting is a plus.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Progress OpenEdge (ABL/4GL): Strong hands-on experience in a support environment.
  • Progress Database Concepts: Good understanding of database concepts and performance troubleshooting.
  • Incident Management: Experience in managing incidents, problems, and changes.
  • UNIX/Linux Commands: Familiarity with UNIX/Linux commands and scripting.
