Job Description:

Our organization is seeking a skilled Linux & VMware Administrator to provide Level 2 support for our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in managing Linux servers and VMware environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing timely resolution to incidents and service requests related to Linux servers & VMware infrastructure. Additionally, they will manage Linux installation, upgrades, and patching, troubleshoot OS-level issues, monitor VMware vSphere & ESXi for performance and incidents, and handle VM provisioning, snapshots, resource allocation, migration, and escalation of complex issues when needed.

Furthermore, the selected candidate will follow ITIL processes for incident, change, problem, and knowledge management, collaborate effectively with end-users and IT teams, and provide support through calls, chat, and tickets in a 24x7 support environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 35 years of hands-on experience in Linux & VMware administration
  • Strong knowledge of ITSM tools and remote troubleshooting
  • Experience working in a 24x7 support model
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Prior experience in a Service Desk / IT Support environment
