Job Overview

A seasoned professional in database administration is sought to oversee the management, security, optimization, and migration of SQL Server environments on-premises and in the Azure cloud.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer SQL Server databases, planning and implementing Azure SQL Subscription services for high availability and cost-efficiency.
  • Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and monitoring, configuring and maintaining disaster recovery, backups, and high availability solutions.
  • Implement and monitor security policies, access controls, and compliance standards, as well as plan and execute database migrations from on-premises SQL Server to Azure SQL.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Familiarity with T-SQL, backup/recovery, replication, indexing, and security configurations are essential, along with a proven track record of managing large-scale SQL Server environments.

Proficiency in Agile and DevOps environments, with knowledge of Azure services like Azure Monitor, Azure Security Center, and Azure Automation, is highly valued.

Familiarity with PowerShell scripting, infrastructure-as-code tools, and CI/CD pipelines related to database deployments is a plus.
