Lead Project Purchaser

A leading global corporation seeks a seasoned procurement expert to drive strategic sourcing, vendor development, and contract negotiation for its greenfield and brownfield projects.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of project and capital expenditure (CAPEX) procurement, including local and import procurement, with a strong focus on technical understanding and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ensure timely project completion by coordinating with internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Drive vendor selection through rigorous evaluation and due diligence
- Maintain purchase order and contract accuracy while minimizing emergency purchases
- Optimize procurement cycle time through efficient use of e-sourcing tools and coordination with suppliers
The ideal candidate should possess a graduate degree in engineering (BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil) and a postgraduate qualification in supply chain management. They must have at least 10 years of experience in procurement, including 3-5 years in CAPEX purchasing, handling an annual spend of over ₹100 crores.
The candidate should have hands-on experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate sound technical knowledge.
Experience in industries such as cement, steel, power, aluminum, or construction is essential.
