About Clean Electric:

Clean Electric is a Series A funded battery tech company focused on designing and manufacturing advanced li-ion batteries for EVs and energy storage applications which enable 12-min rapid charging, long life and unrivalled safety.

We are pushing the boundaries of the EV industry with our Direct Contact Liquid Cooling (DCLC) thermal management, integrated cell-to-pack (CTP) architecture, and proprietary dynamic charging algorithms running on a custom-engineered in-house battery management system.


Founded in 2020 by IIT-BHU graduates Akash Gupta, Abhinav Roy and Ankit Joshi, we are today rapidly scaling and deploying our tech across 2W and 3W segments with plans to enter 4W and commercial vehicles as well.

The team comprises multiple IIT, IIM graduates and industry professionals and we are backed by some of the leading Indian VCs.

Role Overview:

We seek a highly skilled Technical Program Manager to oversee our advanced battery development programs within the Product vertical. This role will involve managing the planning and development of our prototyping function, ensuring alignment with our design, prototyping, production and business teams. As a high-ownership role, you will report directly to our Chief Product Officer and have high exposure to leadership.

As a key member of our team, you will contribute to building advanced batteries redefining the boundaries of the EV industry. Your expertise will help shape our product development roadmap, ensuring we deliver cutting-edge solutions to market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and execution of our prototyping function, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project goals.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, engineering, quality assurance) to integrate feedback and enhance prototype performance.

  • Oversee the assembly and development of product prototypes, ensuring they meet industry standards, safety regulations, and performance metrics.

  • Ensure the implementation of testing protocols for battery prototypes to assess performance, reliability, and safety.

  • Analyze test data and iterate on designs based on findings.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of prototype designs, test results, project progress, and assembly feedback reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field)

  • Master's degree preferred but not mandatory

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in product development, preferably in the automotive, battery, or energy sector

Desired Skills:

  • Leadership and management skills, including project management and design alignment

  • Strong fundamental understanding of basic engineering principles in mechanical or electrical or related fields

  • Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Office
