Linux Server Engineer

This is a challenging opportunity to work as a Linux Server Engineer.

  • We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in managing and maintaining SUSE servers.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Linux operating systems, including configuration management systems such as Chef, Puppet, and Ansible.

  • Responsibilities include:
    • Managing and maintaining SUSE servers
    • Managing IBM, DELL, Lenovo Fujitsu, and HP HANA appliance servers
    • Building and re-imaging SUSE Linux servers in physical and virtual environments
    • Managing Linux virtual machines configured in ESX environments
    • Providing Level 3 support to customers and managing antivirus environments
    • Patching and OS upgrades on SUSE servers

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DHCP, IP Routing, and Name Resolution.

In addition, the candidate should have experience analyzing, troubleshooting, and providing solutions for technical issues.

The role also involves designing application and deployment architecture from on-premise to cloud and providing architectural guidance for Azure solutions.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in Linux system administration
  • Expert-level knowledge of SUSE Linux
  • Experience with configuration management systems like Chef, Puppet, and Ansible
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DHCP, IP Routing, and Name Resolution
  • Experience with Cloud (AWS or Azure or both)
  • AWS skills: Experience with EBS, EFS, VPC, Elastic Beanstalk, SNS, Cloud watch, S3, EC2, Auto scaling, CloudFront, ELB
  • Azure skills: Thorough knowledge of Azure platforms IAAS, PaaS
