Engineering Leadership Opportunity


We are seeking an experienced and skilled engineer to lead our team. As a senior engineering leader, you will be responsible for overseeing project work, collaborating with the India Team, and mentoring junior members.

Job Description:
  • Develop comprehensive feasibility study reports that meet client requirements in an agreed format and review these with the Local Head of Structures.
  • Collaborate with the India Team to assemble a design specification that meets employer requirements, agree its format and content, and monitor its preparation ensuring timely delivery.
  • Agree and monitor the scope of works with the Local Head of Structures.
  • Clearly define building requirements and purpose of use with the Local Head of Structures and the India Team to facilitate detailed design.
  • Carry out detailed design according to client requirements in accordance with standard codes, QA, and technical review, and sign off by the Local Head of Structures, including complex calculations and coordination issues.
  • Review and monitor the production of calculations including QA, technical reviews, and sign off.
  • Ensure that project costing information is completed in requisite detail and to deadlines, and keep the India Team informed regarding design progress through explanation of design decisions.
  • Coordinate project contracts documents (drawings and specifications) and reviews input from team members.
  • Lead the design process, encouraging the rest of the team to deliver appropriate and cost-effective solutions to the agreed programme.
  • Follow document control and QA processes relevant to project work, ensuring drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence are issued and filed appropriately, and coach junior staff in their usage.
  • Manage a team of Engineers and Revit Technicians.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • The applicant must have proven experience in the design of Building Structures with significant experience in a similar role or demonstration of a good track record.
  • Good presentation skills are required.
  • Must be fully conversant with technical structural software, such as RAM, CSC, ETABS, SAFE, and STAAD.
  • A sound understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project is essential.
  • Must be fluent in English with an excellent understanding of technical terminology.
  • Demonstrate good management, communication, and technical skills and be capable of working both within the team and independently, as dictated by workload.
