Lead Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer to fill this key role. The successful candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with expertise in designing technical details of data engineering jobs and processes.

The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in a data engineering role, with advanced SQL queries, scripts, stored procedures, materialized views, and views. They should be familiar with ELT to load data into databases and perform transformations in databases.

In this role, you will lead sessions with data engineers, provide guidance to solve technical challenges, and develop new and/or enhance existing data processing components. You will work closely with product owners/managers to understand business needs, collaborate with architects, data modelers, and other team members to design technical details of data engineering jobs/processes.

  • Design technical details of data engineering jobs/processes to fulfill business needs
  • Provide necessary guidance to data engineers to solve technical challenges
  • Develop new and/or enhance existing data processing (Data Ingest, Data Transformation, Data Store, Data Management, Data Quality) components
  • Actively contribute towards setting up and refining data engineering best practices

You will help data engineers adhere to coding standards, best practices, etc. and produce production deployable code that is robust, scalable, and reusable. Additionally, you will support and troubleshoot the data environments, tune performance, etc.
