Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop elegant and high-performing code as part of a team of engineers.
  • Ensure quality practices through unit testing, code reviews, and leading tests.
  • Optimize applications for non-functional requirements.
  • Build and deploy components using CI/CD processes.
  • Deliver end-to-end application delivery, coordinating with required teams for production deployment.
  • Monitor application health and KPIs, support triage of any production issues as needed.
  • Collaborate in troubleshooting complex data, features, service, and platform issues, and perform root cause analysis to resolve product and operational issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 6-8 years of professional experience.
  • Mastery of microservices and cloud-native apps using Java (17/21), J2EE, REST APIs, Spring Core, Spring Boot Framework, MVC, WebFlux, Spring Security, and similar tech stacks.
  • Experience with messaging frameworks like Kafka.
  • Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as Junit, Mockito, and JBehave.
  • Proficiency in building and deploying services using Gradle, Maven, Jenkins, etc., as part of CI/CD processes.
  • Relational Database experience (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.).

Soft Skills

  • Designing, developing, and implementing custom software and database application capabilities with limited oversight.
  • Excellent communication skills – design-related conversations, building relationships, and fostering collaboration.
  • Supporting teammates and collaborating with a 'do what it takes' attitude to ensure project and team success.
