About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Analyst - Performance and Risk to join our team at Franklin Templeton. As a key member of our Performance and Risk Reporting team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality performance and risk reports to various stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform various tasks related to the production and distribution of portfolio and benchmark performance, attribution, risk statistics, characteristics, and weights reports for traditional asset classes and private equity.
  • Run standard reports and respond to ad-hoc requests via manual or automated processes, adhering to set SLA dates.
  • Identify and resolve low-complexity data issues impacting performance, risk, characteristics, and attribution reporting.
  • Maintain performance, composite, and benchmark information, process documents, and reference files.
  • Be the point of contact for team issues, resolutions, and system issues.
  • Support the performance reporting of various private equity businesses by maintaining databases, reviewing custodian statements, and performing manual IRR calculations.
  • Provide necessary system support for newly incepted client accounts, proofread onboarding documents, and coordinate with various teams for relevant requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in performance and risk analysis/reporting in the mutual fund/financial services industry, investment banking, or a related field.
  • Experience using financial/performance and risk management applications/software, such as FactSet, Bloomberg PORT, Morningstar, MSCI BarraOne, etc.
  • Ability to perform financial/mathematical calculations using MS Excel, MS Access, and Power BI, etc.
  • Knowledge of financial instruments, markets, and analytical understanding.
  • Ability to work under pressure, perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced team environment, organize, and prioritize workflow.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
