Key Cyber Security Role

Job Overview

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting our organization's cyber security efforts by monitoring, managing and enhancing the security posture of our IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of security policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Support incident response efforts and participate in the resolution of complex security incidents.
  • Maintain and monitor security tools and systems including firewalls, intrusion detection systems and anti-virus software.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members on cyber security best practices.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure a cohesive security posture across the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in cyber security administration or a related role.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST or CIS.
  • Hands-on experience with security technologies including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems and endpoint protection.
  • Basic understanding of network protocols and architectures.
  • Knowledge of common cyber threats and attack vectors.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ CEH or CISSP are highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
