Job Role Overview

This senior embedded security engineer will play a pivotal role in advancing our business by developing expertise and insights that can serve as a solid foundation for career growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct vulnerability analysis and penetration testing of embedded products and applications used in critical infrastructure sectors.
  • Perform firmware code reverse engineering and device security hardening to enhance the reliability and trustworthiness of our products.
  • Implement protocol fuzz testing on industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, WiFi, OPC-UA, PROFINET, Ethernet IP, BLE, etc. to ensure seamless interactions between devices.
  • Provide guidance to the development team throughout the development cycle to strengthen the security features of our products.
  • Mentor and coach colleagues in security-related areas to foster a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in vulnerability analysis and penetration testing of embedded products and applications.
  • Strong understanding of firmware reverse engineering and device security hardening principles.
  • Proficiency in working with embedded systems including microcontrollers and their peripherals, RTOS, Linux, memory, and Hardware Security Module (HSM).
  • Experience in secure C/C++ code review and utilization of Static Analysis tools to identify potential vulnerabilities.
  • Knowledge of secure libraries and protocols such as HTTPS, HSTS, TLS, SSH, UART, SPI, I2C, JTAG, and other relevant interfaces.
  • Strong analytical skills and decision-making capabilities to make informed choices in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels within the organization.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electronics Engineering or a related field with 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Cybersecurity certification is highly desirable.
