Mercedes-Benz is seeking a skilled Energy Management System Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. This role offers a competitive salary of $120,000 per year.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced engineer with strong technical background in product development of Electronic Control Units. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of automotive electronics, particularly in the area of energy management systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for automating communication protocol conformance test cases on CANoe using Vector NTS Software and providing test reports. They will also validate CAN and LIN protocols on CANoe based virtual simulation environment and provide test reports.

Additionally, the Energy Management System Engineer will be responsible for the complete documentation of powernet system energy consumption values by following it up with component responsible. They will check the plausibility of power consumption values in Documentation, perform vehicle testing to measure energy consumption value, and compare it with documented value.

If the energy consumption values differ from the documented value, the test engineer needs to find the consumer which consumes more/less power and report to respective responsible. The Energy Management System Engineer will follow-up with Component responsible to optimize the power consumption and deliver the component for testing again the values.

The successful candidate will have 2-7 years of experience in automotive Verification & Validation. They must have good knowledge on V battery, understanding of CAN, CAN_FD and LIN protocols, and experience in scripting and automation in at least one of the areas (M-scripting, CAPL scripting, python scripting).

A degree in Computer Science/Electrical & Electronics/Masters in Computer Applications is required. The ideal candidate will also have experience in automated testing using tools like CANoe, Canalyzer, Vector vTestStudio, Vector Diva.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science/Electrical & Electronics/Masters in Computer Applications.
  • 2-7 years of experience in automotive Verification & Validation.
